This activity was a lot more fun than I was expecting. I laid out all of my materials and just dove right into painting. As I started spreading the paint around the paper, I had no idea what I wanted to do, but then once I started painting an idea instantly came to me: the last air bender. I initially was thinking about doing the night sky, but then I realized how cliche it was. So, after I added some mountains, I added the rest of the elements: fire, water, and air. At the top is the outline of Ang’s face, as he watches over all of the other elements.
I really did like this activity because it was a chance for me to step outside on a beautiful day and do something artistic. It gets kind of old doing math and reading a book all day during the week, so this project let me take a break from all the complex work that I have to do in class.
