This week I had the pleasure of talking to a girl named Shannon. Shannon is a second year human development major from Long Beach. We talked about how she hopes to one day be in the medical field, whetheShannon’s Blogr a registered nurse or a nurse practitioner. We talked about how difficult a career in the medical field is but also how rewarding it can be in the end. She told me that she enjoys playing tennis and hopefully will get the chance to take a tennis class one semester. We also talked about things we enjoyed doing in high school and how involved she was in ROTC. She told me that she once had a competition in Temecula, my home town. When I asked her the question of the week, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”, neither of us could come up with an answer. She said she will probably still be in school, but she really has no definite plan to her future. We both agreed that 5 years into the future was a long way to look, and we are both focused on surviving these next two years at CSULB. I really enjoyed getting to know Shannon, and I am excited to getting to know more about her in the semester.
